The special salary reconciliation committee setup by the Gov Chief Dave Umahi has endorsed the payment of June salary to all state civil servants based on the 50% increment rate, the decision was contained in a release issued by the committee after its maiden meeting at the executive council chambers at Govt house Abakaliki. 2.The release was jointly signed by the chairman of the salary reconciliation committee Dr Sam Egwu and the secretary Rev. Fr Abraham Nwali as well as other members, while the chairman of Nig labour congress Ebonyi state chapter comrade Ikechukwu Nwafor and his trade union counterpart comrade Elias Oduma signed on behalf of NLC and TUC respectively. 3. According to the release the payment of the June salary using the old salary scale of March through May is regarded as both salaries and bonus to workers pending the final decision of the committee on a payable wage table based on the prevailing economic realities from the month of July 2015. 4....

ELECHI GRILLED BY EFCC OVER COUNCIL FUNDS

 Ebonyi State Governor, Mr. Martin Elechi Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission have quizzed the immediate past governor of Ebonyi State, Mr. Martin Elechi, in connection with an ongoing investigation on the administration of local government funds in the state. It was learnt that Elechi, his son, and some state government officials who served under him, are being interrogated in connection with a multi-million naira asphalt project awarded to 13 local government councils in the state. The Head of Media and Publicity of the EFCC, Mr. Wilson Uwujaren, confirmed to our correspondent on the telephone on Thursday that the former governor was interrogated by operatives of the anti-graft agency. GOVERNOR UMAHI CONSTITUTES COMMITTEE TO BOAST MINING REVENUE GENERATION IN THE STATE

ria's Fastest Growing Blog The crises rocking the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) is taking another dimension as 21 of its disgruntled Senators are threatening to leave the party to the People Democratic Party (PDP). The Senators elected under APC platform gave the defection warning to the National Working Committee of APC to defect to the PDP as result of their claimed high-handedness, interference, Impositions and constant threats from the party leadership. Majority of these senator are from Kwara, Kogi and North central states. In the even that these senators defects as they are warming up for, the PDP senators in the National Assembly will increase to 70 and the APC will members will decrease to 38.
