EBONYI EPIC BATTLE FOR PDP GUBERNATORIAL TICKET AND THE SUPREME COURT DECISION OF 14/9/2022 IN CHIEF CHUKWUMA ODII IFEANYI  v. SENATOR JOSEPH OBINNA OGBA & 2 ORS. INTRODUCTION In the build-up to the a Democratic Party (PDP) scheduled the Ebonyi National/State Assembly and Governorship primary elections for 28 and 29 May 2022 respectively. But these dates coincided with the date of the National Convention of the party to elect it's Presidential candidate for the 2023 general elections, and given that some of the National delegates who were to vote in the aforesaid Ebonyi State primaries were also part of the delegates that would vote in the National Convention; given the fact that the National electoral committee that would conduct the primary elections did not form a quorum, coupled with the fact of non-compliance with the party's electoral guidelines, the National Working Committee of the party was constrained to  cancel  the state primary elections scheduled f...

HYGINUS NWEZE NWOKWU: A COURAGEOUS DIPLOMAT IN EBONYI ENGINE HOUSE BY EZE MONDAY

On Tuesday, 3rd April 2018, a landmark development took place in Ebonyi State - The Salt of the Nation. This particular development even though an internal one for young Ebonyi State is important because of its positive implications for both the government and the masses of Ebonyi in the impending days. On that day, the Divine Mandate administration in Ebonyi State under the eagle-eyed Governor David Nweze Umahi inaugurated Chief Hyginus Nweze Nwokwu as Secretary to the Government of Ebonyi State of Nigeria! By that singular development, Dr. Nwokwu, an unassuming but cerebral scholar, became the eighth person in the history of young and promise-laden Ebonyi state to occupy the position. Dr. Hyginus Nweze Nwokwu's earthly sojourn began at his birth on 6th November, 1964 in the pastoral community of Okposhi Umuoghara in the present Ezza North Local Government Area of Ebonyi state. Nwokwu who was ostensibly imbued with socratic genes was driven by his insatiable hung...

Cry On Recovering Their Lost Kingdom.*

COPIED! COPIED! COPIED! *Injustices Of Voting But Not Being Voted For: The Hausa Plaintive  By Col. Dauda Gora (rtd) Hausa land, history and people yearning for freedom. Nigerians, 50 years old and above who attended Primary School in any part of what used to be Northern Nigeria, must have been taught during History lessons about the 7 Hausa States of Biram, Kano, Katsina, Daura, Gobir, Rano and Zaria as well as the 7 Banza Bakwai Kingdoms of Zamfara, Kebbi, Yauri, Gwari, Nupe, Kwararafa (Jukun) and Yoruba.   These Kingdoms were viable in virtually every aspect of human endeavour at that time. I should draw the readers attention to the meaning of the Hausa word ”Banza”. Banza, is a derogatory word which means worthless or anything that is of lower quality which clearly showed a marked distinction between the Hausa Bakwai and the Banza Bakwai Kingdoms. There may have been the pastoral or nomadic Fulani as part of the population in these Kingdoms but not much if anything ...

No one likes monologues. 3.   Never send content, information or “news” that HASN’T been verified. Placing content whose authenticity has not been definitively proven is not allowed 4.   If you feel uncomfortable in a group for any reason, feel free to leave or “mute” the notifications.
